STOP! Press News see below issued 27/01/10
The latest planning application reference (click here for TVBC web site 09/02392/OUTN) submitted by Goodman's recently is based on the Coop taking a smaller size Megashed, which is approximately half the size of the one Tesco planned at the Andover Airfield Site. The Demi-Mega Shed is still extremely big and the developers could get another tenant for the site, which would allow them to build another Demi-Megashed, which would add up to a situation as bad as we had with Tesco. However STOP and the parish councils will campaign for the rest of the site to be turned into a Business Park and not a Lorry park or Logistics park, which is what Andover needs to ensure we have a wide variety of jobs from a number of employers and are not dependent on a a few companies all in the same business. Our new objections can be viewed here.. See property news on the annoucement STOP! Watch Keeping a close eye on the development of the Section 106 legal agreement. As TVBC agreed to their citizens they will keep the agreement "Watertight not watered down". Please ensure that you also keep a close eye on this development and continue to support STOP.
