Valid planning objections you can use in your letters to TVBC:

Representations should be based on relevant “planning grounds” these include:

§      Noise, light and traffic pollution will be generated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Click here for more.

§      The size of the distribution building is over-dominant and out-of –scale with its surroundings.

§      The mixing of large amounts of heavy goods vehicles with local traffic will be intimidating and dangerous.

§      The prominence of the building demands a high quality design – nothing less should be acceptable.

§      Landscaping and the protection of adjoining residential property is inadequate.

§      The volume of heavy goods vehicles seems to have been understated.

§      Will not provide the range and diversity of employment Andover needs and the site is capable of providing.

§      The dominance of the distribution building will deter development for other employment types (office/r&d etc) on the adjoining land.

§      A big increase in traffic on local and village roads to avoid the new interchange.

§      The height of the distribution building should be reduced.

§      Employees traffic will come and go via villages to the south and west - the highways layout should be designed to prevent this.

§      The development is likely to increase flooding and cause pollution of water supplies.

 NOT RELEVANT:

§      It will affect the price of my property

§      I don't like property developers or Tesco

A letter of objection from Friends of the Earth (a great example to us all)
